Sorry if this is a stupid question but Im pretty new at all this. I searched the forums but couldn't an answer. How do I target a keyword in google? Lets say I want my site to show up when someone enters the keywords 'Car Forum' and my website doesn't have those two words in it. What would be the best way to do that? Thank you
You need some quality backlinks with that keyword as your link anchor text. For more competitive keywords you would need more quality backlinks with that anchor text. It helps to get links from pages with that keyword in the title too.
Why in the world would you even want to target your site for keywords you DON'T have? You have this backwards. Google won't show your site if it does not have the keywords people are looking for. Why should they? Zeek
i would suggest, don't have lot of backlinks with same anchor text for one url. rather build deeplinks to your site from different domains on different IPs.
