This sounds more like spamming than Email Marketing. Where did you get this list of "few 100k people"?
Actually you can purchase opt in lists from companies that are legit. In there privacy policy it states that your information may be sold to third parties. This is one of the loop holes in the can spam act. Chicago tribune, redweek, wsj all have sold there data in the past. I have a list from last year of just over 5 million from redweek alone.
I found some software which will give you email list in just a minute but I don't know if it is reliable the software is "email harvester". Any ways spamming will lead your IP banned,......since you need to promote your site try to make promotion that useful to a possible client in exchange of there mails,..... use your blog for that.
Harvesting email addresses is against the law, so I do not suggest doing that. As for getting your IP banned, people who are serious about doing bulk email and that send out hundreds of thousands if not millions a day rotate through an entire C block of IP addresses with corresponding domain names.
I would be interested in getting this kind of huge email list. I personally, use getresponse.com to send out emails. Any one have lists that I can buy?

Its only $20 a month, you can create unlimited email lists, you can set up unlimited auto responders, and set everything on auto and its click of a button easy. They have a spam control generator which shows your a color coded spam setting of each email you send out, you simply have to tweak things that get labeled as spam before you send it out. There is not a better service out there........
Yes he is right when you accept some of these terms when signing up for random sites, many sell your emails to third parties. I would like to know how much they actually cost per email for 100k though. Many thanks.
I would suggest you go with aweber. Coz i'm using them to mail my subscriber 80k+ without ended up at junk mail
