Hello, I have a site with PR 2, but no major keywords in google. The site is betting-forum.com I have nr 3 position for betting forum in yahoo, but in google I dont even have this keyword. The domain is 3 months old. I have around 700 backlinks. Most of them with trusted sites. I aim for keywords betting forum, betting and online betting. What do you think? Why is google choosing not to show my site even at N 200 if I have so much backlinks. Most of the links are with description - "Betting Forum".
you have 700 links crawled in yahoo not google. google show only 6 backlink to you. so its prety had. try out some regularly updating blog's(Same niche) blogroll link.
No, I have 640 links in google. Its showing them in webmaster tools. Google doesnt show all links to everyone.
Same to me! ^_^ I have about 3000+ backlinks (in Google webmaster tools), pr2, and stand #5 - #6 in even search result of my domain name and title!
Optimize your site properly after that check your content coz content is the king of any site... Still keywords that matching your site domain would be quickly placed in google..You may just make a blog on that particular keywords to which you want to be in google..
I dont know whats the case, maybe google is slower and it will show proper rankings after many months. I have maybe 10 blogs with that keyword and I optimized it for the same keyword as the domain - betting forum. My meta tags are also for the keywords of the domain. Like I said yahoo already valued me to Nr 1 place, in google I am even not in top 100000. As for the content- it is forum so it has a lot of content
You must focus on your on-screen optimization and building more high quality backlinks the more competitive the niche the more backlinks it will take to rank well for the keywords.
Thats what I am doing, take a look at my site and tell me what you think. The keywords are mentioned 3-4 times, they are included in the title and in the meta tags. I have links with keywords. I have 700 backlinks from pr1-10 sites. Most of them are like this Betting Forum I dont know better way to link, for me this is the best, because SE will take Betting and forum for keywords.
