Hey. What are your thoughts about ClickBank - is it a good place for newbies. Should newbies go with CPA or CPS ? Are digital products a better product to start with than anything else ? Does it even matter which affiliate network I go with or does the product matter more ? Thanks for the help. Ofir.
Its not so much the product its the follow through. Anything you choose to promote your going to spend a lot of time researching and money promoting. Personally I don't promote CB and would recommend joining a network like Copeac to start.
It's a great way to start. You need to do your homework tho, it can be hard to get that first sale, but once you work consistently and find a winning formula, you can make a really nice income with Clickbank
I will not recomend to start with clickbank, they are having too many issues.CJ,marketleverage, hydra are other good options.
I for some reason would choose ClickBank over another affiliate network. Not because these other affiliate networks suck, but because the fact that it is a bit harder to convert (in my opinion, or maybe I haven't put the effort hard enough) a affiliate product like Google Home Business Kit or a weight loss product or something because they're trials. In any case, for the time being, NO, dont promote CB. But the final decision comes down to you.
I'm saying to go with Clickbank because they sell digital products there aren't any expenses in the publishers side like shipping, handling and manufacturing cost, meaning they can give you a big commission, most products have a 75% commission, meaning, for a 40$ product let's say, you get around 25$ per sale. If you try to sell physical products over digital, like amazon, you will get a tiny commission. Amazon gives around 5% commission, so if you sell a 300$ product you get only 15$.. and it's not easy to sell a 300$. Clickbank can convert quite well if you know what you're doing and you're choosing the right product, and driving quality targeted traffic. I have one product converting at 1:30-1:40 for which I get a 33$ commission per each sale. So clickbank can be very profitable if you know what you're doing, so don't focus on pennies, focus where you can make a nice sum of money. Other alternative, maybe better for newbies, would be to start off with a CPA network, start off which cheaper CPA offers which convert well
