Do you think my directories would do better with No Follow links?

I currently run 3 directories and all of them have Do Follow links. If I switched all the listing in my directory over to No Follow do you think that would be better for my SEO? Or do you think Google likes the Do Follow links better? All my directories are niche directories and all the listings aren't reciprocal partners.

I'm not sure about the SEO effect of changing them to nofollow. I don't think it would matter though. What I do know is that you probably wouldn't get very many people that wanted to be listed in your directories if their links weren't followed.

I don't think it will make nay difference for you. But the webmasters might decide to not submit to nofollow directory.
The fact is Google don't like directories. You can't do anything.

Agreed. Nofollowing external links helps some sites rank, like wikipedia, but a directory is doomed either way. ;)

You shouldn't make it no follow because than people wouldn't use your directory

Well, my directories are "niche" directories which I believe Google likes a little bit more than "general" directories.

I do not see the point of a directory if the links are no-follow unless it is a smaller niche directory where you will bring traffic to the websites.

Well, most of the listings in my directories are added by myself. Every now and then I'll accept a website that somebody else submits. Honestly, I don't really care about the SEO benefits that I'm adding to the websites listed in my directory. I want it to be more of a useful source rather than a bunch of links.
