I think the main problem with this idea of relocating somewhere else is that the US problems will also be negatively effecting other countries all over the world.

One major problem with having websites in the English language is that the vast majority of customers are US based. The American online economy is also the most evolved.

Has anyone hear diversified their online income outside of the US? I would love to hear how.

    SHHHHHH

I wasn't going to say anything to mr brains who in one sentence said how the US economy was going to fall apart, etc and that he has US based websites pulling money from the best economy.

I think Somalia would be a good place to relocate. Land is going for less than $5.00 dollars per acre. A grocery chain would be in high demand.

An interesting general statement. This might be true if you have lots of foreign language Adsense or click sites.

But, e.g. Clickbank, 90% of customers are from the USA.

How do you monetise your sites?

How about New Zealand? The government is stable. A safe country. Good for nature lover.

My friend is a survivalist type. He has hoarded gold Krugerand coins for the last few years. He reckons New Zealand is a good bet and this is where he wants to move to next.

Best route is through birthright if your parents held foreign citizenship. Barring that, you will need to explore immigration options from pensioner programs to heavy investments (most of which require long residency periods before citizenship is granted). If you are single, you might be able to marry a foreigner and obtain citizenship via marriage, but it's different with every country.

That stuff is kinda heavy... You stand to lose more on gas traveling with that much weight. I'd put the money in something lighter.

Where did the OP go? Did he already move to Panama?

I heard that Thailand is very good for internet entrepreneurs. Good connections and cheap cost of living.

If we are lucky, somewhere other than here...
My sign guy's kid lives there. He visits him 4 times a year. Said it was a great climate, but full of bugs and rats. No wind, calm, great weather and good massages apparently too...
