hi people anyone knows if this information is anywhere collected or in some sort published? intereseted in any statistics: assuming google gets 50% commision these numbers are directly related to those who buy links from google. so this is dual question. it must depend on popularity of the keyword only, other dependencies are derived from this one. many thanks for any infromation / discussion / feedback dm
From what I know Google use a quite complicated algorithm to calculate which ads appears on your site, the lesser ads are on your page the more you will get higher paying ads. Also it is linked to the popularity. The most popular the ad is the less the announcer will have to pay per click. I don't know if they also include a higher % to the adsense accounts converting higher, but I guess that they keep a higher % from ads paying higher prices, but it is just a guess, they keep the cards in there own hands, and can lower or higher the commissions they pay you without telling. Luckily the rules are the same for everybody, and they create algorithms to do so, it is not on a one to one base. So the price is not only determined by the keyword popularity, but more by the ad popularity in relation to the keyword string.
So content plays a big factor in ur cost per click? so good content mean good pay per click with adsense? rob
Niche sites based on high paying keywords tend to make higher revenue per click... Industry reports suggest that google keeps 32% of what the advertiser pays in total for the clickthrough...
It's all based on niche from what I have seen. Do a hunt around adwords and see what words pay well... usually mortgages, credit cards etc... If your site has content that would attract ads that the adwords user only pays 3 cents for then you are not going to make a killing. % wise split between google and the publisher... I am not sure. I would think around 60% to google but I have read that Google has some mysterious algo which changes that on a few unknown factors.
It really depends on your content, but starting from 0.1$ a click don't complain, it can get lower, so be happy if you have a constant 0.1$ per click. Some webmasters average more than that, good for them!
Google actually favors the publisher most of the time. Publishers that convert well can recieve up to 75% of the money from that click. EDIT: changed advertiser to publisher. oops.
^ Don't ask how I know that, I can't tell you. I'll try to say as much as I can to help you guys out, just enough so that I don't get in trouble
Yes maybe you know secret things but "advertisers" is the term for people who pay for the ads, through adwords. We are called the publishers, the one who receive an unknown share of the click price.
one time i have get 1.5 dollar for one click i dont know how is it possible while my site visitor also on this day is only 45
Definitely, depending on the keywords you have on your site content. If your site talks about cars and has the keyword "rolls royce", and someone clicks on an ad about "rolls royce" from your site then you'll get at least $1-$2/click.
