Make sure you're writing enough. Don't just post the youtube video, write a summary or your opinion on it. I don't know what to tell you about CTR.

One thing I notice when I click on one of your posts is that you have a LOT of ads. I mean a LOT. But wait. It looks like that might be a different site... Do some of your posts open to new sites when you click on them? Because if so that's probably a lot of your problem right there.

You should have them open in a new window so people know it's a different site. You might do better to have a link unit between posts.

Experiment with other methods of monetization on your blog, whether it be affiliate offers, private text link sales, or blog sponsorships.

Adsense is often the easy way out and usually the bottom of the barrel in terms of profitability.

What about it? I certainly don't see that as bragging. It's offering an OP an idea of what a site with similar traffic is making. There are people out there with much higher eCPM than that.

Well, in a way you are correct. I have seen a ecpm for myself once, using Kontera Contextual Ads..... but my adsense stays at a $3-5 range. A majority of DP would not be having this as I also see more blogs, than I do webistes

    Back On Topic:

Maby you should try messing around with your topic? There are so many sites about this, it's hard to compete with. I started my topic for a reason. I knew that it was high in demand, there was few "real" competition (You have large news companies), and that I had the money to manage it from previous projects.

Keep in mind that just because your site makes little doesn't mean that holds true for everyone. If you think that everyone who makes more than you is trying to sell something or is bragging, maybe people who make more think that all people who make less are whiners. :)

Different sites make different amounts for different reasons. Just take it for what it is and don't assume that people are lying or mean ill because they mention a number, particularly when it's in context to the post. There are some who will do that just to brag or who will lie but just feel sorry for those people rather than annoyed.

I think your low ctr / low adsense income is due to the position of the adsense in your sidebar.

Be aware that your visitors enter different pages of your site. If they enter a post page, they won't see the adsense in the sidebar unless they scroll down.

In my opinion thats the main reason why you are leaving money on the table.

You should find better the placements for your adsense on your weblog and only then you will increase your adsense revenues..

    Have fun!

I believe that's normal. I have many blogs and i get cents a day, sometimes none. But i enjoy my blogging.

Do not depend on Adsense, signup at text-link-ads.com , and other link ads sites.

5 links bar are quite poor to attract in adsense..

and your right bar vertical is basically out of your 4th post.. most people usually read first 3-4 posts.. and it's way too below..

    just my humble opinions

It depends on your niche. Certain niches generate only a few cents a click.
