Value of links from Yahoo, MSN Groups

    Is there any value in going to the effort of posting links on relevant message boards and discussion groups at Yahoo and MSN?

    If nothing else, it is a great way of getting quality traffic. For example: I have a blog about link development, and I get a lot of converting traffic by posting here because everyone who comes through to my blog is already interested in link development, and seo, etc. Also the links are quite good in seo terms if the forum has a high page rank.

    I agree with whirlybird20, if the site you are promoting is relevant to the forum you post in, then you can get some quality traffic..

    usually I have no use of the traffic from this site, as its not that relevant to my site/sites, but I like writing and reading here, so having my link in the signature won't hurt, (I hope). :)
