Not sure what type of CMS CollegeHumor.com uses, but I need something EXACT to this. The website I'm looking to do this with is running right now on WordPress. I would prefer sticking with this system but if it's not possible, I don't mind using something entirely different.

If you can do this, send a PM with a link to something you've created and a line that shows that you understand the basis of CollegeHumor's system. Also, your price.

Another thing; you must have iTrader reputation and a substantial amount of posts. Anyone who doesn't won't be considered.

Brandon, what kind of budget and feature set are we talking about here? I've coded medium/large scale size media portals before, but something with the kind of feature set, embedded/customizable advertising, and many other small tidbits is quite a lot of work and a lot more money than your simple video/picture repository. If you're serious, I'd like to know a bit more about your EXACT specs and aim for the site, something more detailed than "copy collegehumor". If your budget matches what you're looking for specifically, I'd be happy to help you out. So, please, be a bit more specific about your goals and your pocket change.

We could do that project for you, but just fyi that's not a single programmer job like omgitsfletch was hinting at.

You'd need a team, including designers for a project of that size. The company that hosts CollegeHumor.com just got 2.5 million in VC funds, so you're not talking about some little site and architecture. ;)

Whatever you end up doing, make sure you have a business plan and if you have a functional and/or technical spec you'll be much better off.

I had a long conversation with Brandon last night. I agree CommonDavid, I made it clear that his number one priority should be organizing what features he wants and what he can live without, because something of that scale is not easily cloned. The general idea is great, at least he's got some direction, but like the saying goes: good quality, quick turnaround, cheap price -- pick two.

1 - CollegeHumor has never had funding - I know the owners.

    2 - I'll be designing front-end.

I said "The company that hosts CollegeHumor.com just got 2.5 million in VC funds"

If you know the owners, how do they feel about you copying their site and business model?

No need to further respond. Your random spewing of incorrect statements make you look idiotic.

    Bye :)

Maybe you should be nicer around the marketplace, you can receive some negative rep for not supporting your comments. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CollegeHumor It seems they are owned by VC's (Venture Capitalists)

I have noticed a few constants over the years with my many types of clients, and one that I use as rule of thumb is that is a person asks for work and tells you to hit them up on AIM, to avoid them at all costs. AIM users generally, not always, are know it alls that know nothing of the Internet. SO my rule of thumb is that if you tell me to get on AIM, I laugh out loud.

CollegeHumor did have start up investments, I should know, I helped them with coding in the old days. They are not a group of chumps, they are a corporation that pays well but not as much as I'd lke. LOL!

Sir, you sound like you need to plan out your project more. A developer only leads the horse to water.

Oh btw, CollegeHumor.com is a complex portal system, not a cheap ass CMS. Portals cost thousands to tens of thousands to build.

Some people may use AIM like I do but generally speaking that's for people in high school some for college, that's why I have an MSN account for business discussions.

BTW, does your company, itnashville, create complex CMS's? I might be interested with a budget of a couple thousand dollars. In your services/products it doesn't mention CMS creation. thanks
