    well, i guess, i don't really know.

but ADsense is very well marketed IMHO.. and maybe AdWords you meant? just to boost their AdWords compared to yahoo and MSN?

I have to say no, sadly. They already did some things of that nature, as well as CPA and referrals.

The fact is, advertisers would rather just use adsense if they are going to use google. Would you rather pay me half of your half of the sale or just a few cent for the click? Exactly ;)

Whats the final goal of going into affiliate programs?
    Promotion and Money!!!

1)Adsense doesn't need this kind of program since they are already making good money for themselves as well as the publishers. Also, Adsense is so popular that they don't need affiliates to market it too!

    2) Even if they launch an affiliate program, imagine all the billions of internet users who already are registered with Adsense promoting Adsense to themselves.

I don't see any reason for Adsense to start affiliate program.

Exactly. 5 cents a click vs commissions on every sale.

Since it's all a numbers game, no advertiser really has the need to affiliate people through google, they get clicks (arguably) dirt cheap.

BuzzMaker: Not affiliates to get people signed up to GA, affiliates like they used to offer in Adsense CPA/Adsense Referrals.

Much like a normal affiliate link, but supplied and organized through Adsense. So, same exact service as adsense, except advertisers potentially are forced to pay much higher with commissions :)

That's what that language google uses means:

"We're reviewing the effectiveness of ________ for the better of our advertisers" (give or take some paraphrased goodness)

Google WILL invest in Affiliate marketing WHEN the market request it.
