Where did my posts go?

I'm not sure why someone (one of them mods?) just deleted everyone's post.. but I didn't get a chance to see everyone's messages before that was done.. so if anyone still didn't get a PM, please send me a PM or post a reply.

And for the mods.. can someone please let me know why this was done?

Given the infraction I received, it's because the mods see the posts by people asking to be PM'd information as "Thread Bumping". That is why the replies were deleted.

Hmm.. I've always done it this way in digital point though? Always just pm-ed people who were interested? I guess anyone who is interested should PM me first and I'll send them more info? That just overloads digitalpoint with extra useless PM's .. but okay.. whatever works.

My thoughts exactly. Not sure when they decided to get all sticky over that, but hey, that's their choice I suppose. At least I know now that I need to PM instead of requesting info via a post. :p

Can one of the moderators chime in? I pm-ed one and still waiting to hear back. Is this some kind of new rule where members can't ask to be pm-ed? I checked other posts and people are doing it.. as well as all of my previous posts.

Moved from http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1047854 to keep the thread clean

As a rule of thumb: ask the question by private message if you expect the answer by private message.

In your opening post you even say
If you subscribe to your own thread with email notification then you will have the details of all those who posted.

Rules change. When you come back each time, it's your responsibility to review any new stickies or announcements. This rule has been in place for months, so there's really no good excuse for anyone to say they didn't know about it by now. ;)
