No this one i didn't really do any link building, i "did" throw a few links up on a couple of my other sites but it was 99% making useful content which attracted roughly 10k natural links. So i didn't spend any money on links. Another new site i worked on went from PR N/A to 47xPR5 pages.
My newest website's domain was registered on second of september (2008), now has a PR2 too. Backlink building isn't anything special, it just got a link on our projects page of the main website (which is only PR3).
I heard from some people that they received a PR in the toolbar with very new sites. i would say that it was not possible before.
It seems that everyone IGNORES the fact that there is a PR discussion thread. Maybe it's time for DP to start deleting them until people figure it out...I would be happy to delete them all myself.
My 50 day old site got a PR2 too. I hardly did any work on it and I haven't updated it for last 1 month. I get 2 visitors per day. PR2 ... what a joke..
i see that alot of people got as lucky as i was. I have a hard time to believe that story that someone got PR6 in a month or so. I dont know... its just hard to believe. I am happy for you guys
The PR increase to 6, 5, 4, 3 in 19, 20, 25 days looks very unrealistic.... Never heard this before!. It might be true.. But hard to believe
Proof sent, PR6 and a ton of PR5 pages and it was regged this month. Actually if PR was calculated today, chances are it would be PR7 because a lot of the links wouldn't of been counted in the update. Amount spent on links = $0
Nothing special. As soon as you submit your site to Google it will be indexed and Google will assign a PR value (floating point number from 0 to 10). This can happen in few days. If you do this a few weeks before PR update (better export) you get this result.
It would be nice if the successful people share your story behind the success here. May be some tricks that you use for content or drive traffic... New peoples can learn then. If you are not interested to share in that way, may PM to the interested persons. Congrats to all successful people. I'm interested to know the "magics".
