Just wondering what tool everyone uses for tracking web rankings? I'm currently downloading a trial of webposition gold but I'm wondering if there are better tools out there? or cheaper ones that do the same thing!

It is true! I do a manual checking of my own and noticed that most of the result are not reliable in using a tool so I'm just using it as a guide..

I have also noticed that tools can be a bit unreliable. I think the problem is that they dont neccassarily search the same datacentre that you would query when you search. I don't think there is one that lets you specify your datacentre. This would be really handy actually as you could see how your site ranks internationally then as well
magoo, there is no question of unreliability if you use reliable ranking tools which gives you links of google search results for specific keyowrd that you rank in.
Hi... one thing i want to suggetst you... that don't use search engine ranking checker for your website... because whenever you check rank from auto SERP checker it will fire lot of queries on google search engine... than after you will get Enter Code to see search result... it will also effect your isp ip. you can use this below tool it's giving perfect ranking. www.cleverstat.com/en/google-monitor-query.htm
there are so many free tools in the market but i dont prefer them because their results are not accurate.. so i do it manually and takes help for webmaster tool and google analytics
Manual Checking is a good option.. because now those thingy green lights on the ranking checker software do not hold any importance now.
