So i logged in today to find out that the Mods have given me two Infractions. Now i am not starting this thread to complain about them but i would just like to get something cleared up as to the rules. What is considered bumping an 'old' thread. I say this because i made a comment (two actually) on the thread about Shawn's court case. here is the thread. The last comment before me was on the 19th September and i made a comment on the 29th. It wasn't a spammy comment by any means but i can see (Maybe) why the mods gave an infraction there, however it is a very popular thread so i don't see the problem. Anywho others commented and the thread carried on as normal and more people posted thier comments. I then posted a reply and again got an infraction for 'Bumping'. So i'm guessing that everyone who makes a comment about Shawns court proceedings gets a bumping infraction now? I don't mind haveing an infraction, it doesn't bother me all that much if it was for a valid reason but the fact thats it's not is a little childish. Also i defiantly was from these threads as they were the only posts i made on the 29th.
Its just an infraction, no big deal. Perhaps they felt your comment did not add to the discussion. As long as you are not receiving them on a regular basis, no worries. They are not big fans of discussing infractions in public either as it would lead to thousands of similar posts. Expect this post to be locked anytime soon.
Infractions are tend to occur in a huge board like DP.. Better to keep yourself away from topics you really don't know.
I realise that they don't like to discuss infractions but in all honesty there was nothing (that i saw) wrong with my post. Others had made similar comments. I made this thread not to discuss appeal my infraction but to just get a cleaer understanding of what is classed as bumping a thread. Perhaps they could adjust the rules so that it addresses this siteuation directly. I just don't understand.
