Can your signature add to your PR success?

i think google not count forum signatures.

 

Even if you have too many back links from Forums that won't help you much in terms of getting advantages from those links. Neither do Google support Forums links nor do they give too much importance to these links.

Consider this case.

A person posting in a forum for over a long period of time and gets around 10k posts against his name. So, do you think he is far ahead in terms of "PR" or ranking privilege against a person who has got 10 Article posts.

You tell me which one is better.

Yes it's helps to gain PR b'coz do follow forum always gives you back links from your post so search engine counted and if that forum related to your niche then it's means you are getting relevant link then search engine must count that kind of links and we all know that good back links and fresh and unique content always help to gain PR

 

Yes, the forum signature considers as backlink for the site. You can check this live at Webmaster tools for your site. It considers all the threads, but it gives less priority to these posts in giving the PR. But, we can gain traffic from the forums.

that's why i love dofollow forums like DP

 

I still think it helps alot to add your site to your signature,i cannot see any downside in doing it.

 

Building a unique quality content will also help a lot in having natural links, focus on this bigger things.

 

I had a new site get to PR2 with only links from DP. It doesn't do well in SERPs but its PR went up.
