One of my main keywords is a brand name. It is very commonly misspelled and google doesnt offer a "did you mean" for my keyword. My site has a big following and i would prefer not to put the brand misspelling on my site although I see no way around it. Anyone have any suggestions for this?

Why don't you want to put the brand misspelling on your site? Hang on let me re-phrase that, you don't want it on the website (visible) but why not in the key words in the code (behind)?

This would not be visible to the average browser who may want to take a peek at ur site

Simply get some backlinks with the misspelling in the link anchor text. You don't need to put a keyword on your site to be able to rank well for that term.

It is possible that your misspelled keywords will rank high because of less or no competitors.

I would also say get some backlinks instead of polluting your site.

The other option is to put some text on your site that explains what the correct spelling is and how people often misspell it as...put the misspelling here.

I've got a similar misspelling on my site and the misspelling gets more hits than the real spelling does. I don't have a single back link with the misspelling and I still rank #2 for the term.

Just build some backlinks with that misspelled word. You dont need to put the text in your site.As it is you wont have much competition so u will rank easily and that will mean additional traffic.

I would have to agree with this but along with 100 or so backlinks with the misspelling.
