It wasn't a shot at you, it was a shot at anyone who actually bought the reason. I watched it live and my support for the Republicans saying no went from a big thumbs up, to a huge disappointment for looking like a bunch of snot nosed cry babies.

It was simply pathetic in my eyes. Just say you voted for it because you did not want to vote for it. The way they came off they blamed someone for not talking nice to them, in such a way that they wanted it to pass but didn't want their fingers on it.

Who said that? The only people I heard playing that line were the TV pundits who were upset that their parent companies weren't getting a huge handout.

Actually, "martial" law is more likely to go hand in hand with hyperinflation. You need guns to get people to go to work when the paycheck they earn before lunch can't buy a loaf of bread after the shift is over.

I am definitely not a democrat. I am for small/limited government, extremely pro 2nd amendment, I am for personal liberty and responsibility.

I do not 'vocally support Obama', if anything I call crap when I see it. Just so happens I see much more crap being stated by those who support McCain and McCain's campaign itself.

I think both sides are pathetic at best. You yourself speak more highly of Obama than I do, even when you are busy ripping on him.

What was also pathetic was Pelosi and Reid repeatedly blaming the Republicans for the negotiating problems for the last several days, while claiming that the bailout was a bi-partisan effort. The last figure I heard said that over 90 Democrats voted against it.

I don't think anyone voted against it simply because of Pelosi's ultra-partisan criticism just before the vote, but it probably added conviction to their No vote. It was also a chance to take a shot at someone who had been taking cheap shots at them all week. How can you work with someone in good faith who is on the news several times per day taking shots at you? I can understand their frustration, and it does look almost as pathetic as Pelosi and Reid.

The GOP didn't make us put lots of restrictions on it. They wanted to give a blank check.

You are fast becoming the most offensive poster on these forums. Whether I agree with your position or not I find myself disgusted at the ignorant comments you make in nearly every thread. You and homebizseo are neck and neck for making the most posts without saying a single thing worth a goddamn. Give it a rest already or say something of some value. By the way, the are called Republicans.

I'd favor giving both sides live ammo. At least it'd give us a chance to get a few different people in there besides the bucketheads we have now.

Far be it from me to actually think our congress could scrape together a full brain if they pooled the contents of both parties. Washington is so full of people addicted to the crack of special interest money that most have long since sold their souls to the highest bidder, and that money makes it hard for anyone to remove the incumbents.

The banks didn't calculate their risks for the long run, all they saw was quick money. Maybe companies will learn and start to hire people who are actually qualified for business and economics.

I can agree with this statement ;)
It's one thing to swear, to make shots, it's another when it's all you have with no real point.

Hell I can be as nasty as they come, both online and off. I can and will admit to it, but at least have a point behind it.

i have gone to the dark side.it has become necessary.
look at this vote today. The country is in the verge of economical collapse. We have elected these people to represent us and to take care of our buissnes. They have the nerve to say that they decided to change their vote in such an important bill, based on what pelosi said.
so they went with penis envy rather than what is good of the country. Why should i be nice? Why do they deserve respect? They should respect us if they want respect.
    please enough is enough.

Because if you want to be taken seriously in a debate style setting you need to make an actual point and not simply ramble.
