Can I find out what add someone clicked

The money i make per click varies greatly, sometimes ill only get 10c a click and sometimes ill get 46c a click. How do I find out what type of add they are clicking on, eg, childhood education or transport, so I can emphasize that section of my site?

I looked around, figure its there somewhere.

PS. I can see the custom search engine searches and results, eg, what people are searching for but it doesnt show what people are clicking and the earnings per click.

    cheers

If you have a set of pages dedicated to childhood education and other pages dedicated to transport then you could use two adverts using different channels. You won't ever get to know which specific adverts your visitors are clicking on, but you will get to learn whether one term has a better click through rate or better cost per click.

    so your thinking like,

I create multiple ads in adsense, then add each one to its own channel, then on my page put, if request(cat) = "1" then display ad id no 1 and so on.... seems like a logical idea.

Any idea what the max number of ads/ channels is. I would want like 6000... seems like a lot?

I'm not sure about the maximum number of channels, but 6000 would be time consuming to administer anyway. Can you group your pages into certain topics to simplify things initially?

For instance if you ran a zoo website, you could list all the pages relating to mammals under one channel, all the reptiles under another channel and so on. Once this has been done, you may realise that the majority of your earnings came from the snakes channel and you could then begin separating these into constrictors, venomous snakes etc.

you can do taht through Google Adsense... click on the advanced reports and you get a idea of which ads were clicked the most and the click thru rates.

A year back it was possible to know which adsense ad was clicked with a script called astracker ( Adsense tracker gold) but due to recent updates it is not possible any more.

Even the updated version does not works well any more.I have searched a lot but was not to find a working solution but till this time i haven't succeeded .

If anyone knows any way or script which can do this please share it here.

Only way to know is block all ads aside from one and then see the stats that page gets with the ad on........

And just how would you propose doing that? You can only filter 200 ad domains.

Nothing is impossible? Feel free to blow all our minds and swallow a 22 foot long great white shark whole. No tricks now, swallow a real fresh from the ocean 22 foot long adult great white shark in one gulp. Have it witnessed by a doctor/biologist/lawyer/judge/cop who can be sure you are not pulling a fast one.

Or else, you can just run along and play outside. Clean up your toys before you do though, please.

Track everything, you are able to track each of the ad
    blocks that you put up.

I broke it into the main categories on my site.

so I had, non category specific (Eg home page etc)
Then I have a chanel for each main category in my directory, and seems to be working well so far.

All my clicks have come from leisure or business, and seems business in worth about .35c more per click.

thanks for the sweet ideas guys.
