Hostings pretty cheap you know, I'm paying about $10 for a month. Not really such a big thing - and I use Fantastico on cpanel, which makes installation of wordpress so very easy.
I used WAMP server and installed Joomla on my computer and setup all pages and uploaded to hosting and it didn't work there were lots of errors... don't know where I made mistake, but better make a test than give your time and effort, I needed to setup the whole page again onlin...
Some of you guys may want to try WordPress Portable. XAMPP is great but this is just easier. Unzip and run. hxxp://wordpress-portable.webnode.com
I read the article and it said this works for Windows XP Home, I have Windows Vista, would it work for me. I purchased this computer it already had Windows Vista on it, I didn't like it. I wanted to change and put my Windows XP on it, the company said I would void my warrant, so I am stuck with Windows Vista.
Thanks Nick252, I'm going to try it, and hope for the best. I've been having a lot of problems with Vista.
