Disclosure: I am getting untold fame, riches and stuff by posting this thread. I got marriage proposals from thirty hot chicks in this forum so far [And two guys ].
I just ate a couple of Peruvian 'Fare Trade' bananas. That's what the sticker said anyway. The Peruvian bananas were pretty good. Much better than the the Eucadorian or Colombian. Very sweet.
Some of us are smarter than you think. For everyone else, there is Google. That looks nasty! What is it?? Wow. You beat my record.
Thanks, man. My wife described my work as haute cuisine, but I guess I don't consider it so. It's just always been my thing to just do whatever I could to master fundamentals and simplicity - in other words, I wanted my food to scream the season at hand, and a simple, though intensely rigorous preparation, and to marry my food with my wife's wine program, which was extremely well thought out. I very much wanted people to have this new experience, and we did whatever we could to make people feel like this was a living room of friends, not a "temple" of cuisine. I'm glad we gave some people this experience. @Bogart: Interesting on Catalan. I am very "southern" in my French orientation, really, and am fascinated by the linguistic and cultural history of Languedoc. I've a collection of ancient music from the period of the area's heyday, some of it, pilgrimage chants entirely in Provençal.

Thai food is great. I should dig up my Thai cookbook to list my favourite recipes. Like Tom Yum Pla, which i think this is.
a) I have never gotten up in the middle of the night to eat...for one, I eat too much as it is before I go to bed! b) when I eat I get hot, hot + sleep = not a good combo I've posted some these before (in NP's old thread in fact) a culinary conference I was privileged to attend a couple of years ago:
