Hello guys I just wanted to ask you about something that has concerned me for the last few days, I own many sites that run different ad networks ad the same time, for example chitika, kontera, adsense etc, well today while changing the site template I removed most of this ad networks but I left adsense on one of the sites, well basically one of this sites was making around $5 dollars with all of the ad networks combined, well after removing the other ad networks my adsense earnings DOUBLED, so here is what I think happend.

Visitors see multiple ads and they click on them, so maby I was getting (example only) .25 for adsense, $.05 from chitika and .03 from kontera, well after removing most of the ads the users only see 1 ad unit, so that is their only option to click on making my revenue go up.

Has anyone of you guys experienced something like this?
leaving the higher paying network on the page increases your overall revenue??

People have said that the fewer ads you run the more you can make. All depends on your site and traffic.

Yea, well it actually makes sense, why send a visitor somewhere else for .05 or .03 when you can lose that visitor for .25 right?

Pretty much.. I just actually wrote a blog post about how you need to experiment with different companies to see who gives you the best results.

To many people are relying purely on just one company and can be potentially losing hundreds of dollars.

I have a site in which I put only adsense, the same thing happens to you, my earnings rises. I think its better to put a lot of adsense rather than having only one

I have adense and kontera on some sites. I don't think adsense ctr is effected much at all. Although having 3 ad networks on the same page does seem excessive.

I think you can use 3 ad networks on your site without it being excessive.. as long as you are using them intelligently. I have 3 different ad networks on my blog and it does not appear to be excessive in my opinion.

I guess it could work. Adsense/kontera/direct banners should be ok now I think about it more.

I think that is bad to use 2 ad networks on same site when you use them your clicks will be divided on them if you use one then all earnings will be in one a/c only so you earn good and get your checks fast.

Why do you say that? Kontera ads look just like links within the article. I really don't think it has much of an impact of adsense ctr at all. Visitors intrigued in an adsense ad will make the click regardless. Why I don't like about Kontera is the fact that most of the advertiser's are so untargeted because their inventory is so much smaller.

Just from personal experiences. I found they hijacked the content.

Rightly said, the more ads we have, the more chance of loosing our visitors as they can get annoyed due to excessive ads. I also have noticed that earnings decrease when one of my friends used Adbrite and Adsense together so its better to use one program and focus more on increasing visitors.
