Lets say A webpage has been ranked no. 1 in google for a particular keyword due to its strong online and offline page optimization; by building strong backlinks and now it stand NO.1 in all the major search engines such as yahoo, google , msn etc. Now building more backlinks for that webpage will make any more better top positons in SERPS or coz it already stand on no.1 spot or maybe it could be ranked high for some other keywords . what are the possibilties. explain.
I would have thought to keep link building to maintain that No1. Otherwise one day a competitor will knock you off. Build links for other keywords on your site. Get as many other keywords to rank and high as possible. World domination .
You can not loos anything by building more backlinks. And as already said: defend yourself against those who are comming from the deep space of the internet
so having more backlinks then ; can this mean that I get ranked even high for other keywords such as even for those where just a single word is on that (searched keyword) on my page and I get to rank in top 10... can this also be possile?
you can use it to qualify your deep link of the site, this means user may come and visit your site from different page and not only index page of the domain.your site deeplink be no.1 in the serp with your keywords. and be aware about negativ effect of oldness of your site
Link building for a top ranked webpage will ensure that website will stay longer at number 1 - who knows someone else may take over top position over a night ...
Yeah, I would say continue to build quality backlinks for your main keywords, but also start to build backlinks for weaker keywords too.
we can never tell how long we can stay in the top, but we should do our link building more seriously to prove that our site is more competitive and not to be knocked off easily by other competitors...
