Empty website gets PR 1 & 4

Why is this page rank so weird ? I have a website recently built ( i only have a php fusion on it ) and after this Pr update it has PR 1 :-??

Also, a friend's website got PR 4 and it was empty !

Why is this happening ?

 

The empty website has better backlinks than you, that have higher PR?

 

The website may be empty but apparently has received quite a large number of back links.

 

pr has to do with the number of back links site has so maybe the empty site has a lot of quality back links

 

no the domain is only one week old... he says that the domain has no backlinks

 

Fake Pagerank maybe then?

 

don't know but i hear a lot of people complaining about "false" google page rank like this

 

A lot of people are reporting PR on pages that really should not have any. Even pages that were uploaded just a couple days prior to the PR export got PR, and they are not even indexed yet.

Don't worry too much about it cause there is nothing you can do. Google will either do a PR update soon to correct their mistakes or Toolbar PR will continue down the road to irrelevancy...

 

Use Fake PR Checker to determine
Eventhough its just reg, dropped domains tend to keep high PR backlinks from their previous programs,websites.

 

I hope Google will correct their mistake, because its really annoying... you work to make your website popular and another website gets a higher PR and its empty

 

Google doesn't really care about pagerank anymore (what i think) They are just using it to have some fun with seo and marketers

 

Expired domain has no page but some of them has a high PR.

 

Some of my old domains also maintained their PR1/2 and they are completely empty. It's a bit weird.

 

erm... dude... their mistake?!?

 

Maybe ther is/are sites pointing on this with high pr.
