First impression: 5 of our site had reciprocal link programs and so far they have had no PR change. Of the 16 that don't, each went up 1 point. One of my very new ones (5 months) just started at PR3 (from PR white bar) and is still in the "sand box" with no rankings at all. All other pages are gray bars. My primary site went from PR 3 to PR 4. But all other page went to gray bars (????). And it appears that my rankings are going up(????). G, you don't make any sense!
I am surprised but surprised with unexpected results for sites that I didn't bother to optimize. I mean I was doing some minimum basic stuff, but not too much
Not everyone was predicting October or November. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=9153397&postcount=4 Sites can be found that have no backlinks getting PR 3, nicely promoted Websites losing PR, and sites launched in the last month getting good PR. From what I have seen, toolbar PR is becoming an unreliable gauge of the health/importance of a page. As Webmasters at least we have the knowledge of how unreliable toolbar PR has become. I'm not sure if Google is intentionally doing this or if the algorithm for PR is just broken. Regardless, Google has let down the average surfer that uses PR as a trust gauge...
exactly what im thinking! one of my sites that i didnt even promote and only bought a month or two ago has a pr2 now but no google traffic...
i c this current PR update as usual. i didn't see anything surprising with any of my sites. my newest site i launched less than 3 months ago got PR2 and no surprise there either. i didnt do much link building and didn;t expect anymore than Pr2-PR3
None of my sites got a PR update , not that i can see anyways, i think google knocked the PR update on the head or should do as its usless anyways IMO
One is patience (nothing like fast results) and another is that they are really really serious about paid links.
For some reason one of my PR3's that was in the sandbox dropped to a PR0-- plenty of links, no paid links and no funny stuff- somewhat baffled. One of my PR0 went to a PR3 with only 400 incoming links.
my site went from PR3 at 8000 backlinks to PR4 with 500,000 backlinks, a lot of them are pr3-4 backlinks also. I was expecting a PR6 or at least 5. I don't know why this is so
That we read this- and read that -do this -and do that -say this -and say that -and never know what the hell is going to happen no matter how seo savvy you say -think- know -you are. Page Rank is made out of a womans DNA
My site stayed at pr 2.... have to keep working on those backlinks. "my site went from PR3 at 8000 backlinks to PR4 with 500,000 backlinks," thats a big jump in less than 3 months ?
Yeah I also agree with this, traffic is good.. But also with PR, to the advertisers they depends on what your PR is?
