I don't think either won the debate.

I would have given McCain a plus for his foreign affairs knowledge and experience but that is wiped out for the way he talked down to Obama, continually referring to Obama's 'not getting it'. Very belittling and not the type of behavoir I think a future president should display.

I think this is a good thing. Either or both of them taking sides publically on the specifics of how the bill should read, IMO, would only further inject politics of the presidential campaign into the process, which is almost certainly a bad thing. Maybe they agreed behind the scenes to stay away from specifics?

It's pretty low using the agreeableness of someone against them. Reminds me of the tactics of some in this forum.

    Disgusting commercial.

When is it bad to agree with someone on some issues? I guess it's better to always disagree, never give credit?

Yet people wonder why I have had it with McCain and appear to dispute pro McCain posts more than Obama.

I've had fun, your posts however are a pattern and far from 'fun' as a whole.

I find these methods the same as those who call McCain old and senile at every turn.

Fully expected of the McCain campaign, and fully expected this passes for substance in Biz's brain. Out within minutes after the close of the debate. Obama showed himself to be gracious to his opponent, on points of agreement. This is part of what I would call "bipartisanship." Meanwhile, John McCain couldn't stand to turn and face Obama, a single time, during the entire 90 minutes, preferring instead to look like what I guess he was - a guy seriously pissed off he had to show up for the debate, given that he resisted coming the entire week. I guess someone forgot to tell the elder Senator that "bitter scowling" and "deep conviction" don't come off the same.

If the dems had nuts they put together a montage of McCains "bitter scowling" during the debate. I don't know if he means to, but he comes off as being really condescending. He acted the same way towards Ron Paul in the primary debates.

    Yes he did.

I used to really respect McCain. He was one politician I thought was above the rest. One I felt was not like the others in Washington.

Yet here I am, now that he's the nominee for the Republican party, still trying to get this bad taste out of my mouth of what McCain has either become, or has always been.

To be honest with you, if I were only being tactical (not strategic, Senator McCain - that would be a win, or withdraw, from the race...;)), I'd play McCain's "spending freeze" comment, repeating it next to every program now extent that would be gone under such a platform. That should go over well with most folks. :D

Good idea. Let's compromise. The audio of the spending freeze comment over top a montage of his bitter scowling with a rolling list of programs that will be cut on the right of the screen. We've got a hit. :D

Is that for real hmansfield? They need to add Travis Barker on drums for starters and a wider range in the vocals.
