I've been looking to drive traffic and popularize my squidoo lens Ultimate Taekwondo Guide! Yes it's ranked high in squidoo itself but i still only get about 20 views per day. So far i've signed up to basically every martial arts forum and made a thread about. I also update it very frequently and ping it every day. I know I've got great content, how can I get more people to know about it?
The key here would be to optimize the lens for your target market which to me would appear to be people who are interested in buying Taekwondo equipment and books Your lens is too optimized for the broad keyword "Taekwondo" and therefore you have over 14,000,000 competing web pages indexed in Google Now if you were to optimize the lens for a key phrase such as "Taekwondo books", you would only have about 3,000 pages to compete with, which would be very easy to get ranked in the top 5 of Google (in my opinion) You could even go a step further and optimize the Lens for the key phrase "buy Taekwondo books" and you would only have 2 (yes I said 2) competing pages See where I'm going with this... Now before you go ahead and start optimizing your lens for longer Key phrases you will want to do some keyword research to be sure that there is enough search volume to warrant it But also keep in mind that although the search volume on a long tail keyphrase such as "buy Taekwondo books" will be much lower than on a broad phrase such as "Taekwondo", it will be much more targeted and more likely to lead to a sale

have you done a proper keyword research to see how widely your topic is searched? or maybe try to make your article more interesting
Write a few more articles and submit it to some article directories Post the articles on the martial arts forums Do some basic keyword research to find some nice keywords to rank on and adjust your lens accordingly Wait a few months - traffic to Squidoo lenses takes time
what is your lens ranking within squidoo? what is the ranking in the lens category? unless you are on the top 100, you dont realy expect decent traffic from squidoo. but a decent ranked lens with some PR like you have can help boost your own site ranking which is a great benefit
It really all depends on what keywords and the amount of traffic to those keywords. For instance since you are using martial arts lets say you made a lens for "Brazilian ju jitzu", you are not going to get much traffic because there are too many other competing but if you went with "brazilian ju jitzu in mma" then the keyword is longer tailed and you will still get traffic but you wont have as much competition. Keyword research if tough but once you learn to master it then there will be a lot of traffic coming to your websites through len's, article marketing, and more.
