I use Windows at work, and Mac OS X at home. In other words, they have to pay me to use Windows, but I'll happily pay to play with Mac OS X.
Mac is not an acronym so it should not be all capital letters. For my part I use all sorts of different operating systems and it really depends on what I need to do at the time. For my home system I use Windows Vista, and have been considering moving it back to XP. I do like my Mac though. It is an excellent system.
Just tools in the toolbox. It really depends on what software applications you want to use. Windows has created their own marketing mess with their different flavors of Vista that work with some applications and not with others. XP still works fine, why even bother if all it means is you have to spend a bunch of money upgrading applications. And for me, it's not even the money... it's the time reloading everything.
I like Mac OS but I had one for about 3 months, and then I sold it for a PC. I hated trying to manage both and PCs are the standard.
Apple are winning on the only front they are good at, simplicity... this is why the numerous ipod's, iphones etc hit it off where the as ms Zune failed along with their phone that no one seems to have heard of funnly enough.. my personal preference for a PC OS is of cource windows but now the idea of intergrating Linux into the BIOS of computers is comming into play it just marks its popularity, simplicity and portability over that of windows or the Apple OS's
Same for me ..... IMHO Mac runs better, quicker and handles lack of memory a lot better than XP/Vista can and OS X hardly ever crashes. I have crashed a Mac app a few times but NEVER the operating system. The changeover does take some time to get used to, but give it a few weeks and you will probably start dreading Windows' awkwardness.
I had a chance to use the iMac from the previous company i worked for because they needed to test their web apps using mac/safari for compatibility sake. The mac looks really nice no doubt about that but I guess I still prefer Windows.
Windows is better among the two but if we take linux as the third option then i will vote for linux.....
I'm using both systems MAC as well as Windows , i.e. windows on my laptop & the Mac on my PC . Considering both I will only vote for Windows for the best one . Thanks .
