Have anybody use stumbleupon to get traffic for thier sites. Have you used the I like icon for your own site in the tool bar.

It does bring traffic but it does not convert well for PPC and affiliate ads so for me it's not worth the time.

It is good for new site to get some traffic and exposure, but traffic is very unsteady for couple of days and then practically no traffic at all.

Me too used to think the same way you do, but if the page you stumble contains really nice article/news/stuff then the traffic from stumbleupon will not die soon.

I recently stumbled a post on my newly launched Decent Discussions Forum and till today (after 2 weeks of stumble) I am getting more than 60% of traffic from stumbleupon.

So, instead of blaming stumbleupon you should see what the Stumbleupon readers want to read and then share your stuff with them.

I've used it a few times, it actually brought in more traffic than digg. Since stumbleupon you will get traffic spread out over several months, with digg only if your story becomes popular.

I agree with netridge, I tried digg too but no luck.

For me stumbleupon is best if you use it properly.

SU traffic may be crap, but the fact that you can get 10k uniques within an hour or so makes up for it (I actually made a sale from SU traffic alone )

SU like a lot of social sites get best results if you get to know the community and contribute, not just take. I've never gotten too into SU but some of my friends have but they are pretty active on it.

Stumble traffic is a pittance(zero), compared to Digg.
