I have a very simple question. Being a webmaster yourself, do you click on other blogs / sites ads? I realized that since I know I cannot click on ads on my own websites I have developed a tendency not to click on any other website's ads also. Its a kind of mental filter for me. Is it true with other people also? ( I am talking in terms of adsense only )
I dont click very often, unless something really grabs me. My inbuilt knowledge stops me clicking my own ads. Wish i could get some damn clicks in in blog. Just have to keep submitting and getting backlinks.
Thats actually quite a good point, i don't usually click ad links, but sometimes i do if I enjoy the article or blog, then it gives me a minor moral boost to click on one of their ads, it might not make them much money, but its like paying for the pleasure of reading a decent article! dunno if thats good or bad though...
If I like the Blog, then no matter what the Ad is, I click it to give the creator a few cents for a great blog.
well, I click them.. just to show the appreciate of what the author has given me, even it's copy paste thingy.. I normally exit with clicking one ads every page. it doesn't cost me much, but the author will enjoy the effort of posting/creating/sharing the particular article or topic. I actually wrote one article regarding this matter here http://infomm.com/2008/09/blog-a-to-z/ And i will continue to do the same in the future.
Sometimes I do. They have ads for a reason, if the content is good then reward them...with a comment and a click. I normally filter them out because I used to think they were viruses or spam sites but now since I know a little better...
If they write a nice information or I find what's i'm looking for in the ads title, then i will click those ads to reward them . Just hoping readers will do the same if I was the blog owner
I try to because I think Bloggers should be paid for their work, but like you said my mental filter sometimes completely ignores the ads.
I don't usually click on the ads, and I highly doubt that the majority of bloggers click on the ads. This is the reason why most of the MMO bloggers don't make a dime.
This is what I also do, and I like the term - genuinely. For me, clicking on others ad is not a reward simply because the better reward is to subscribe to him.
I normally don't click because of the ad blocker programs I run, but if something interests me, yes I will have a go at it.
No I never click other ads, not even if i'm interested. I'll just copy the link location into a new tab if there's something that interest's me.
