You can relocate either to Australia or to New zealand. As PR ship is slightly easy. All the best for your effort !

You could have a look at Malta. Close to everywhere in europe(EU member itself), great mediterranian weather, english official language, probably not the cheapest of options tho but still considerable.

Iraq, as the war is winding down they will need to rebuild their infrastructure which will spur the economy.

but what would be the point of buying gold coins instead of gold bars?

It's not always connected to the currency. 1 USD = 105 japanese yen, yet you don't hear about people going to japan to "get great deals" .
There are two ways (that I know of) you can get a great deal by going to another country:
    1. because the costs in the country you're visiting are smaller than your own. For example a cup of coffee in Norway costs like 5 euros while in Romania it costs about one euro because the norwegians have to pay a larger rent, they have to pay a lot larger salaries and they may have bigger taxes too

    2. the value of your currency grows in relation with the value of the currency of the country you're visiting. For example for a couple of months in the summer of 2007 1 euro = 3.15 Lei (romanian money) but just two years before that the euro was as high as 4.1 lei. So, for us, it was like everything that was priced in euros had a 25% discount compared with two years before even though our currency still was still weaker than the euro and the country was also significantly poorer than the eurozone

why would gold and silver skyrocket in a global crash? Well, sure, the price of them might grow in comparison with the paper money because the currencies would be collapsing but would they actually grow in value? I mean would an ounce of gold buy you more tomatoes or potatoes or man work-hours after the crash? It might actually decrease in value since more people would stop buying "luxury goods" (like gold) and they would also buy less TVs, computers, mobile phones, etc which would further reduce the demand for gold (as gold is used in most of these products)

something must be seriouslyyyyyy wrong with the data you used. If it was like you said then you could buy some gold in the US, go to the dominican republic sell it for a shitload of pesos, buy a car with them and transport it to the US sell it and get back your money a few dozen times :)

Anyway, you should consider Iceland for moving there. There's only about half a million of them and they have a very advanced society. Plus I've read somewhere the icelanders are among the happiest people in the world:)

lol, go somewhere nice. Like a nice beach or island or some shit. Or go where there are plenty of pretty women (or men, whatever your preference). Don't start moving off into weird foreign countries like Jim "asshole bowtie man" Rogers. I would stay where your family is if you are really this worried.

    Doom and Gloom...

Anyway, this is a duplicate thread. Will.Spencer had a wonderful thread asking where to relocate to. Some really nice places with great tax advantages were mentioned.

Tesla, don't worry. Your job as a Fry Station number two manager at Mikey D's is safe! People are still buying fries.

I don't understand you, I thought you were highly educated and possibly a US citizen by birth, but when you write you figures with both dollars and cents, it really blows that theory.

$873.52 is much greater than 873.52 cents. This kind of thing makes me think you are a foreigner who doesn't understand how to write our monetary values.

Kinda reminds me of how the leftist media polls Canadians on how they will vote in the upcoming US election.

This is interesting because I've been reading and researching for the past few years that our global banking system is to be back by gold and precious metals again.

Not likely, from my understanding, once you change to fiat currency, going back to gold standards will involve too much disruption to the financial institutions. It would take a huge crisis and a lot of deep thoughts for any government to be back on the gold standard.

I personally wouldn't relocate to Australia. They don't get the cool, violent video games that I so enjoy, and the video games they do get cost an arm and a leg....

Would be such a hard life if I couldn't relieve the stress I feel over the economy and my job through playing some Saints Row and running over fat, gross hookers!

So it seems you are adamant to leave the good old USA so maybe I can help here to. Why don't you move to the Fiji Islands (its an island state in the South Pacific), near Australia and New Zealand. Fiji is a tourist heaven, similar to Bali or any Caribbean Islands.

The currency used here is also dollars, exchange rate being 1 USD = 1.60416 FJD or 1 FJD = 0.623381 USD. The prices of goods and services is very cheap here. You can get a haircut for as low as US$4.00. Medical is free, paid in by state. Real estate is very cheap too relative to USA.

On top of that, there are no cyber laws here. Warez hosting, porn hosting and owning such websites here are perfectly legal. Infrastructure is very modern compared to other third world countries. Fiji is also a secular and democratic nation, with no favor to any religion, group or race.

Don't ask about girls. You have to come here and see them. Indian girls, Island girls, Chinese girls, you name them. And to top that off, there are many mixed races here, so we have part Chinese part Indian girls, etc.

By the way, Fiji has around 700+ small islands of which around 300+ are still uninhabited and up for grabs. You can buy a island here for as low as $500,000.

So why not come for a visit here and see it for yourself.

Have a look at this website to know more about my country:
