6 of my proxy websites were PR0 and Now they are PR3 Thanks to Google

i believe the toolbar page ranking only updates occasionally, so the auction page rank may be higher or lower than what is shown on the toolbar...

 

I read from web and found that it is about directory script like phpLD, I still search more evident on this and I am using eSyndiCat

 

One reason for drop in pr is link sale/purchase...i suffered from this ..my site went from pr 3 to pr 0

 

hi. my pr used to be a 4 but now it is a 0. I probably did something that Google is against. Is selling text-link ads one of them? I know numerous sites that did that but did not get their PR to 0. Why is this? How can I get my PR back to normal? Thanks =)

 

It's strange, 'cause when I built my page it becomes PR3 without any backlinks. Now I have a lot, but suddenly those days my PR dropped to 0 !

 

i did not notice google update PR on july 2008, just check PR yesterday and got PR3. my page has about 100 visitors a day.

Few months ago alexa had to update their traffic rank, now google have to update their Page rank. It seems that internet making gurus like you have spoilt their system with a lot of link exchange and other black hat cheats.

 

Only those get punished that get cought

 

Mine still PR 0 and it was up since March, 2008

 

Well it will probably stay that way until the next update- I had a site opened in April it is now PR5

 

0 to PR5 in six months is pretty impressive work

Btw is submitting my site in a hundred of directory site can give effect to pagerank?

 

I'm not going to say PR is not important, but I have seen sites at PR4 that I suspect have much less traffic than my PR0 and PR1 sites.

So, I'm wondering is PR is not as important as it one was. I would rather have more traffic and less PR than higher PR with no traffic.

Of course, high PR and high traffic would be ideal

Just noticed when I went to one of my sites that the toolbar had updated PR (from 1 to 2)
When I refreshed the browser it went back to 1.. I checked Digpagerank, and it shows several data centers with the updated PR values
