Yes, sure. If you buy your own domain, your old blog will automatically redirect to your new domain. Everything will be the same, but you have your own domain now!

Actually it is not pointing to a .com domain. You are parking your domain at the google servers. So your site is now on the .com and will appear in search engines as .com. Pal Stickynotee do you still have problems with this?
