Stumbled upon this interesting blog entry.... Buyer is a plausible candidate, lets see what becomes of it. http://blog.dofollowdir.com/yahoo-answers-acquisition/#comment-3
It was really shocking news. I don't think like that. Yahoo answers is knowledge driven community that allows users to both submit questions to be answered, as well as answer questions that are submitted by other users. Such great community did not do like these things. I think it was a story make by the people. ------------------------------ Bindu Jaisankar
Its just rumours yahoo answer infinite entries have indexed in google and giving off them lot's of money..... I dont think they would sell.
Yahoo's selling a few of their assets in order to keep everything in check. Yahoo Answers is a very minor part of their company, and just a drop in the ocean in their traffic.
I actually wouldn't be suprised if they did sell.. but I dont think they're going to, just another one of those rumors
All the more reason to sell if its such a valuable/profiting service. What better way to stay afloat in the raging SEO war tides, than you sell something like Y! Answers... If you think about it, it makes perfect sense.
Is it officially declared or some staff of yahoo network said that, i dont think so yahoo will sell Yahoo answers to Answers.com
WOw.....Yahoo Answers was so great and always helped me I just hope this is rumour isn't going to be true
i think it is a false news. yahoo get a lot of traffic from answers. they would never sell it for now. and yahoo answer is the most popular reference website next to wikipedia. thank you.
Well they cant sell it, if they do, wat will they replce on answers.yahoo.com? and ofcourse they cant sell the subdomain can they? all they can do is sell a backup
something that hasnt been mentioned. Why would anyone buy it. It has no registered members (you signed up on the yahoo network). Yahoo will not give the info of all of their members with a sale as thats priceless. All they would be buying is content. 100 million for content is far too extreme
