    Hi gang,

So far I have been doing business with my paypal premier verified account.

Now I have a few sites which sell stuff, etc so they have a relatively high volume.

My question is, should i make a business account like or keep on using my premier account for the business website?

Anyone have any bad experiences using premier account for high volumes?

Premier allows for instant payments. The fee is also really little, if you are receiving money on a large basis this should not be a problem.

This was my personal account - paypal changed it into premier.

Either way, it has my personal email address on it, so i dont want to use it for business affairs.

Is it against the rules for someone to have a premier account and a business account (admin@website.com) ?
I dont care if the other account is a premier account or business account - just want another account with another email. Is it against the rules?

You can only have one personal + one premier/business accounts. You cannot have two premier accounts or one premier and one business accounts or even two business accounts. It definitely against the rules.

However, since Paypal allows you to associate up to 8 email address to each paypal account, there is nothing stopping you from adding your business email address to it and then making it the primary email address.

Yes. Using my personal email on the checkout page results in the buyer abandoning that page. if i used a paypal address related to the sales domain, that it'd be better.

    Edit:
Oh, I completely forgot about that. Think that solves my problem. And if the volume goes over the premier threshold, then i'll just convert premier to business account.

Thanks a lot people for the help - much appreciated :)

As far as I know, Yes! They allow one personal and one premier/business account for an individual. You may contact them to get the best answer.

You do not need to upgrade from a Premier to a Business account. For all respect, they are the same. The only difference is that the Business account is if you are operating behind a registered business or an incorporated company with a business bank account, you will need all the legal documentations for that and the premier account is for private individuals who engage in business and earn an income through Paypal.

Another option is to changed this premier back to personal and get a new business account. However as eddy said if ur transaction volume is high then be ready to submit documents related to the business entity.

Of course, it can as long as the one wanting to pay you comes from a paypal supported country and uses a credit card to pay you. The premier and business accounts are the same in features.
