Hi guys, How we can measure hourly rate jobs? example : 1 jobs for writing, you give him task about 1000 words, how we can know this is just 1 hour jobs or might be 2 or even more ? Must be speak in early or at end we have invoice can be heart attack? Sorry newbie in this field. thx b4.
Just go with a flat rate - it is up to the writer to get his job done with speed and care if he wants the flat rate offered. I works cheaps :x
Just make up a rough estimate of the time it took you to complete a project...and always charge a minimum of 1 hour's worth of work no matter what. If you spent 30 minutes typesetting/designing a simple file, make some bullshit excuse as to why it took 30 more minutes.
So If i'm customer, i must ask upfront first, how long he will doit and how much he charge it? so it came like flat rate. Isn't it?
As the customer I would say to start offering work to people for a flat rate and start low and work your way up - really you just need to ask yourself "If this was MY skill and I was going to be doing the writing - what would I expect?" And make offers akin to what you'd expect for yourself. It really depends though. I mean, there are a lot of different kinds of writing too.
OK. OK. May be This sample more clear Customer want to create ebook in 50 page. The writer took hourly rate to charge. As a customer can we ask in upfront how much is all this cost?
As a customer, you can ask or demand anything you want. If you don't like the response, hire somebody else. Never be afraid to ask!
For things where it is impossible to know an hourly rate you charge a flat rate. Like someone said above the going rate for writing is .01-.03 per word. But also if the person is a known writer who has past e-books that were successful they can charge you up to .15-.25 cents a word.
I believe content writing is not hourly rate job. It takes time to write and is not suitable for everyone.
Forget about hourly rates which just complicate things. Just go for the plain and simple fixed rate given for a 1000 words article regardless of how long the person takes to complete the job.
This is perfectly right.Instead of doing per hour it will be easy to manage a lump sum money for the project
