Best Politician In the World?

The American people can not remove him from office.

 

They could take an active role in 'their' government and demand action from their representatives. They could start a public outcry for impeachment. They could organize and march on Washington.

Keeping in the theme of this thread, my point was that Bush is the best politician. For example, this corporate bailout that is in the news is similar to to a doctor adding another bandage to a festering, infected wound - but the bill is going to pass (with only a few days for reps to review it) because Bush is a good politician and knows how to 'pull the strings'.

For another example, look at how the patriot act was put into place. Very few (if any) representatives read it, yet is it arguably one of the most important pieces of legislation in US history.

So, maybe I was a bit harsh in saying that the people are 'allowing him to stay in office', but you cannot argue that Bush is not one of the most effective politicians to ever sit in the oval office.

 

Even with marches, even with asking our reps to impeach 'which many do' impeachment is not easy, nor can it be done simply because people wish to do it.

A president, if you can not prove to a majority in the house he made an impeachable offense it is next to impossible to impeach, hell even if a majority believes he/she did an impeachable offense it can be impossible to accomplish.

Your argument honestly doesn't hold much water. Bush had a majority in congress for quite some time, post 9/11 he had the citizens allowing him to do whatever he wished to do.

If anything he's been lucky, there also isn't much that can be done to him.

 

Tony Blair was the consummate politician, as was Bill Clinton.

 

Bill Clinton is also considered the horniest President.

 

I think "Margerate Thatcher" was the best PM England ever had. Hats off to her.

 

I know a bit but hi can be okay but probably not the best...

For me, terms like politics.. politicians, democracy, dictatorship.. all these were never defined correctly. Even best philosophers werent able to define all these terms..
