God Paypal Sucks

So I have 127 successful transactions, and out of that 5 chargebacks. people who said the product didnt work, or they didnt get the download link.

Well seems every 2-3 days paypal limits my account and asks me to verify some new crap. I am so sick of it.

Today they want me to verify 5 tracking numbers for proof of shipping... I SELL A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD! How can I provide tracking numbers!

God they suck so much, I'm about ready to dump them for a real merchant account. I'm doing about $450 in sales a day and I cant deal with having my account locked out every 2 days.

So I talked to the rep. they unlimited my account.

And within 15 minutes they limited my account again!

This is crap, im no longer going to use them.

Now I dont know how I'm going to get the remaining 600 balance out of my account.

Guess why you're ranting? You hate them but at the same time they make things easier for you business wise.

    I feel your pain.

Hah they certainly haven't made things any easier for me by limiting my account ever 4-5 days and asking me new crap. My account is already fully verified. Just because I do 37+ transactions a day shouldnt warrant my account getting locked.

If I was a bad selling shouldnt they realize that there should be more than 6 chargebacks out of 127+ sales the past couple weeks.

Oh well, I'm on the hold of death again....

So apparently the problem is my refund rate. Out of every 100 sales I make, I get 3 customers that request a refund, and rather than contact me direct they just dispute on paypal.

Apparently 3% refund rate is too high for paypal.

Why don't you use 2Checkout instead of Paypal? they charge a little more but I heard that their transactions are very good.

yes. you need to find out what went wrong? and how to fix that problem? if you jump out to some other provider, you might face the same problem again with them.

so, be cool :) and try to fix the problems.

Paypal protects customers. Why not use another paypal account ? Then you will not stop your business.

    Wise solution.

You are allowed 2 PayPal accounts I think. I think it would also be wise to add a strict NO CHARGEBACK POLICY on your website wherever you are selling products.

A lot of people are facing problems with paypal.

All hate paypal but at the same all love paypal.Paypal is simply PAINPAL.

But what we can do, just wait for any other payment processor to get such popluarlity among web masters.

Paypal limits accounts due to security reasons but most of time their security checks creats problems for its users.

Your making enough money to afford a professional Cart and Download service. With Digital items its easy to configure it too and the options are cheap as you don't need to keep postage addresses and tracking numbers and all that annoying stuff.

We use Paypal less now and conduct our business through 2Checkout.

We do over 50 transactions daily and I was fed up with Paypal's lack of support to us as sellers. They always side with the crooks no matter what.

    Use 2Checkout... they're far better

If you want to use payment processors I recommend (through reviews + rates + my personal preferences)

    1) Google Checkout (if in US/UK) --> Super low rates, discounts if you use adwords, Google's support is AWESOME, they actually listen and give not canned responses! AMAZING! :D

    2) http://www.rockbottommerchantaccounts.com/, I haven't used, but I found some good reviews + their rates are so much lower than the rest of the direct credit card competitions.

Honestly losing 2-5/100 sales sucks, but to not deal with the hassle of paypal it is more than worth it.
