Never stress about earning money at the beginning because you won't. Here's what I always do, and I end up earning 10$/day ( and way more) from every site, it takes time but: 1) Choose your niche, buy domain name, look for keywords https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal 2) Slowly, I mean slowly build links for the next month. Use Digg effect while your site is still unknown to Google. 3) Build your reader base, increase page views, add email subscription buttons in the next 3 months. Have a plan about your blog. Don't just blindly post every day without long term goal. 4) After you end up with 1000 unique visitors a day, add some ads. I usually end up in the first month. 5) Continue writing good content, market that content via social sites and email other bloggers. Blogging is community, other bloggers are not your competition if you are friend with them. 6) I think it's important to have quality design, because you will get recognition from other bloggers. 6) After 6-7 months, you'll start to rank good on Google, you will have a lot of returning visitors and you will start to make some good money. patience what do you think?
That's a great long-term setup for a revenue earning site. Pretty basic, but everyone should know this. Most people are interested in sites that will make money right away. This is for the ones that know what their doing.
Unfortunately people do stress about it. Just check new blogs, most of them are filled with so many ads. People don't have patient, they want to get rich and they want it now.
I think your right on track and it's not only blogs websites to. You got to build a good reputation with your viewer's. You got to build for them not yourself but have fun doing it at the same time, patience is a must, and Rome was not built in a day.
Yeah everyone should know this, but it seems that most of people are not willing to do that, or they simply don't know how. You need to build your site, not just put some nice picture on the post, add couple of words , hit publish button and log off.
I got 201 post on my blog. about my travel around the world for the last 4 years! But it is in Danish :-( It would be $ if it was in english.
It's not that easy to get 1000 UV a day in one month even if you have unique content + Why loosing the earning potential? Just add the ads since the first day!
Why loosing potential readers? Why to use your best spots on site for ads instead to make decent reader base ? How will anyone know about your site if you don't want to keep your readers, they can be a huge promoting part.
I agree. But seriously...wait until you get 1000 uniques/day? I say wait until you get at least 100uv then get the ads up.
Actually, you can! But it won't be consistent. Patience is the key for making money consistently. A quality site will definitely make money

I agree with you. And now I have just bulied a bolg, and to try to attract the more traffic, I will slowly the ads in the next month.
Firstly you should have blog on the theme which you like by heart like i have on cars. My blog having good page rank and good traffic also because i like cars and keep on updating new things now i have applied to Google adsense and getting money on add clicks also.
On my other website I am getting 2,000 views a day, it jumped from 600 a day to 2,000 just after the last google pagerank, its all down to patience.
