Quick question. Would www.example.com/About be the same as www.example.com/about or www.example.com/aBoUt as far as search engines are concerned? Regards, -- Naif
Simple Answer is : Yes Why would a search engine be case sensitive? What's the purpose? Search engine focuses on the words and sentences rather than how it is written (small case, upper case etc.) This is what I have seen by far.
@mbshinde78 I was thinking no. I think search engines treat the case of a URL differently. I'll show you an example http://www.dhonixpress.com/biography/ - The page has a PR of 2. Where as http://www.dhonixpress.com/Biography/ has no PR. Doesn't this suggest search engines treat them differently? I am working on a site right now and this is going to be really important Regards, -- Naif
Yes URL's are case sensitive, but domains themselves are not. Also yes, different searches in caps/no caps on Google can show different results.
Perfect answer, however the difference in the search results using caps/no caps is not that huge in most cases.
