What is the advantace of inner links

I don't understand why i should link from inside my text to a certain page, if i already have a link to that page from the menu, and from the footer menu,( and thay appear on every page obviously)

If you are getting a link from another site then it's better to get a link
from within some text that's related to your site because search engines
