google offers way more than just a simple search engine, google is forever expanding its assets and creating technology that has left the worlds privacy at risk, so i highly doubt the google era will end anytime soon, thanks for the insight Dr Patel
This is a useless talk that google era is over,on what ground basis are you saying this, By the way other search engine you said they should focus more rather than us to make them popular. You said cuil is expanding you know what cuil sucks, my site is not even in their index and they saying that they have index 10 times more then google blah blah... My advice is that "be with google earn with google"

Yes My language for this thread was a bit straight forward to take you away a little bit from Google so being an SEO professional You don't forget the basics. Don't just take google as your only SEO god/goddes which can make yours or your clients business successful. Explore the other areas. I could see there were people who saw the two sites first time searchme.com and cuil.com first time. they will be giving good competition to google at some time if not now. No one is perfect. Please be advised that I am not the agent of above two sites, one of my client from USA shown me these sites and I was amazed with their little different search results. I hope you have noted Yahoo for recent search changes. So everyone is innovating to catch the google buzz And my philosophy is when there are too many chasers of one thing... there will be a day that they bypass the winner. Until these fancy new search engines have reached 5% or more of market share in my markets, I will continue to live my life like they never existed. Google has about 85-90 percent market share in my country so I would be rather stupid not to focus on Google.
Ok, but the problem can be discussed from user side who enters keywords into the search engine and picks the results. On the other side are webmasters who creates websites, makes them in the way that searchengines will love them and put high in their rankings (SERPS). We are in webmasters forum, so we can expect answers what Google competitors are offering to us (or not). Can we expect more precise answer than "leave your cars, ride bikes - bikes are the future"?
No official news is published to optimize for those engines but I am noticed that their focus is home page of the sites as they have majority of the pages indexed are home pages. Also they don't rank pages on back links but on the content so relevancy is their high priority. Onsite optimization is key factor especially home page. That can bring good keyword rank on cuil and searchme.

google is still play vital role in in search engine market i think this post by u is for market the both search engine which u metioned but there need a lot of work to done to stand behing google
google is so much better than all those other engines because of all their APIs. I have a custom search engine, and use the map api etc.
