Since about three weeks ago Google has omitted the majority of my blog posts because the "entries very similar to the ... already displayed". The majority (99%) are showing (examples): ["21 Sep 2008 ... Leave a Reply. Name (required). Mail (will not be published) (required). Website. Sponsor. Categories. Forex Software (1); Forex Trading (17 ..." "Share and Enjoy:These icons link to social bookmarking sites where readers can share and discover new web pages. blinkbits · BlinkList · blogmarks · co. ..." I'm losing a lot of traffic because of the above. Please comment. Thanks.
You should use the Description meta tag to have more descriptive excerpts in the SERPs. Anyway, Google is not going to display more than 1 (sometimes 2) search result from a single domain. The rest pages will always be omitted by default (you can change this adding &filter=0 to the searh URL). If you need more search traffic you should target more keywords rather than having many pages targeting the same keyword.
Definitely go for all in one seo! Also can it be possible that your actual post contents are embedded within frames? Or they are duplicates of something from other sites?
UseShots: You are wrong. I have hundreds of webpages listed. I have no problems with websites but I'm not that good with blogs. arpitagarwal82: Thanks for telling me about one seo pack godsofchaos: Thanks for recommending one seo pack too. Some are duplicates. In the past I didn't bother about this because all my blogpages are showing fine. Since two weeks ago, the snippets are meaningless. I'm sure many had noticed about this.
One of my site has many images, but has little text. It is really problem to avoid such repeated result. I should take your advices also. Thanks guy.
I would say just make sure all of your images have an alt text and description. I always like to add a nice descriptive caption also.
I was talking about search results displayed for a single search (that don't include you site name). Can you provide an example of a search that returns more than two results from your site on a single page?
