Does having a.com domain give you an advantage for Adsense over a blog?

Well I have 2 blogs. I have already posted about them. However, I need more info :D. My 2 blogs are in my signature http://ggamesgalore.blogspot.com and http://thereporter101.blogspot.com They dont get much page views a day, and no clicks. Is it worth it switching to a .com domain? Would I get a few more clicks if I switched to a .com domain?

it would be better in the long run, if you do it now before the blogspot domain gets too famous, that way you would own the domain and can do what you want with it

It depends on how well you market any site. A real domain makes you look more serious and professional. It also is easier to do SEO on your own domain rather than blogspot.

However, I have had and there are many others who have had very successful blogspot blogs. It depends on how well you build links, do on-site and off-site SEO, and advertise.

A personal domain looks more serious, and is easier to remember how to get to. However, I''m sure you can still be successful with a site parked on a sub domain.

Websites are better when compared to blogs with regard to ad placement and other seo techniques, imo. When you own a site, you have a better control over it than a blog hosted by others.

Both of my blogs (in my signature) are .com domains. I don't think I'd be able to deal with a site that I didn't have complete control over. I made a custom theme for each blog so they don't look like any other blog out there. So far I have only gotten two clicks on my blogs, but one of them is only 4 days old and the other is only 3 weeks old so I don't have that much traffic to them yet.

I guess I didn't even consider using a subdomain for any of my sites. I maybe should have, but personally I'd rather have the control myself. If you plan on adding content to it regularly and want to build it into a high traffic site then a .com might be better since you could add other nonblog stuff (forums etc.) to the site later.

    Good luck with you endeavors.

You could put more ads on your blog since your allowed to have up to 3 Google Content Ads per page, that might increase your chances of getting clicks. However, if you go that route, visitors might dislike your site for displaying too much advertising, so its your choice. I'm developing a blog, and it is currently using the same layout as yours (since that's the standard Blogger Theme), however mine has 3 Google Ads on it, so you can see the difference. The sites at http://inyourdreamcars.blogspot.com/. I'm working on adding a lot of pages, and then I will be working on a new layout (so I can place ads at better places, like dairyman said, its harder to control ad placement with blogspots) and buying a Domain for it.

You must have your own domain because:

1 Your will have full control
2 Will give a better image that you are serious about it.

Thanks, I actually think my site is still pretty basic at this point. Just keep posting, the more content (assuming it's decent), the better your site will be, and the better your site is, the more visitors you will get.

Blogging especially blogspot blog will help you to get quick index in Google. You can few dollars easily, but they will take few amount for their service. Hence website in your own URL is always advisable...

Adsense is not related to the extension of a domain. Adsense is related to the traffic you get, traffic = $$$

Anyway, I always prefer to have my own domain instead of having any subdomain. There are many advantages of having your own domain, like, when you build backlinks, you will be building them for your own site and not for some other site's subdomain.

.com means more control of where you can place adsense ads. I would suggest a .com with loads of content, then link it to your blog. Place adsense ads on both, design them to match, etc.

Alright well thanks again for your replies. However, if you take into consdieration that I dont know anything of how to run a website. Nothing. Not HTML, not PHP, nothing. So, is it possible to transfer exactly what I have on my blog onto a .com domain, and using the same layout (modification settings) as Blogger? So I will have a dashboard etc.?
And, would you say its worth it? Considering I get only 1 click a day, sometimes 0. Thanks in advance.
