SEO Ranking is not stable

Recently I have done several SEO activities to my site and it was help me to bring my site to first page in Google,Yahoo and MSN, Before SEO activities it was in 7th page.
But this first page positioning is not stable, Same day my site is appearing in 4th, 7th place in frist page and sometimes it goes to second page. Next day morning it come to first page. But all other sites listed in natural listing are stable. may not changing time to time

What can be the reason for this ?

I did some link building activities to get my site up in natural listing.

Yes, I was ask my happy customers to talk about our site on some forums and link to my site, and ask them to do several bookmarking too. Is it not a good thing for link building

 

Totally agree with vicky, to get stable ranking you have to work continuously and when your keyword is very competitive you have to create SEO plan to work for each keywords. My advise is to create strong backlinks by using those keywords preferably from only relevant theme of site. once you start getting links your ranking will get stable.

I've heard that in smaller niches stuff bounces around a bit more..
But not sure if this is true.

My site bounces a lot too.

And I always hit re-load once and it moves up a notch after the initial load.

 

hello you some article for high pr site and social site, blog comment posting only relvent site and more login forums site input your site sing.

 

make sure in the process you are taking of, i mean.. if you do link building to the site has the less value it get your site the same result.. make sure for quality.

ANyway to the OP, for new sites such things happen. Nothing to worry, just keep doing the good work and you will start seeing stabilization in rankings.

 

It is depend on competitor if your competitor is active than there is chance to decrease your ranking and you have to be more active than them

Don't worry, it's perfectly normal.

It takes some time to stabilize your position because the Search engine is testing the performance of your site for these keywords (something similar to CTR). also, the position may fluctuate because of different data-centers your search query goes to.

 

Because slashdot is very good site for submitting news. you can get more traffic to your site after submit your content in it.

 

Try to find out if you have content duplication

 

Fluctuation of position in SERP is perfectly normal. Just keep on the link building process like social bookmarking, article submission.

Agreed. It's not possible to maintain a stable, fixed position because of the data centers. You can have a ton of links and great content but you'll still shift around the page results.
