I have a home based business for 5 years. I want to enlarge my business, how can I effectively do it?
Internet, offline media, advertising etc. There are many ways. Like vagabondette said, what sort of business?
in order to market you first need to understand what marketing is. Then you need a detailed road map specific for your business, product or service. So in order to Market it you need to be very specific and detailed in your questions for help. But start with the forums. there are many ways to do it. Online Offline word of mouth and media. but you need to get yourself seen by many people in order to begin so start with letting us know your business or product then we can give you suggestions.
Hi Emily. It all depends on the product you want to market. If I were to make general suggestions, there is offline marketing where you use regular viral marketing along with advertising and franchising. Online needs a website along with link building, viral marketing and building lasting relationships.
What are your trying to market? First you need to find your target audience, and find where they hang out. Then you can market in that giving area to get targeted traffic. I recommend things like Google PPC, Yahoo PPC, Writing Articles, Posting Classified Ads, Paid News Paper Ads, Tv Ads, Magazines. I know some of them are a bit expensive but they all work.
You provide far more details Same way that you have expanded it, if you are doing well then do what you are doing but expand to new niches.
Online or offline? If you don't know how to make a website try setting up a few squidoo lenzes to get free traffic.
what is your company site url ? when posting on the forums please add detailed information also you can advertise your business on google
1. Buy a printer and stickers. Create an advertisement with your logo. Print the ad and distribute to every car on the street, on parking lots. 2. Make a good product. Go to any authorative online advertising site. 3. Make a billboard advertisement. 4. Create a media network. 5. Hire fired Executives of realiable media companies. 6. No money? Guest posting on other site and be controversial on youtube.
Marketing varies depending on the type of business you have. I have found some very successful offline techniques that work well - such as delivering fliers. I used to pay $0.10 per flier to have them delivered to mailbox posts. I would use a clear duct tape and tape them to the mailbox post (in my area the mailboxes are out by the road on a post so you can just drive by and slap on a flier fairly quickly). I never had any problems with the Post Office so long as they weren't placed on the mailbox itself. One of the best ways to market offline is to place a sticky note on your local paper. Some papers don't do sticky notes but if yours does it can be very successful. A sticky note is a short advertisement that sticks on the front page of the paper. It stands out and you don't have to compete with other advertisements (you'll want to offer a discount or some other sort of incentive to get people to call you.) It would be helpful to know more about the kind of business yours in order to offer more specific advice. I have tons of ideas that we have tried over the years. Some worked, others didn't.
Hi Emily, I can understand your situation, although my information is incomplete. The succesful marketing is huge and works on their specific way on the internet. You firstly need to determinate your target market, become acquintanted with their wants and needs, then you can give them what they wants and buys. In reverse order this thing isn't working. You wrote you are making a business for five years. Probably you have your targeted market and you have friendly relationship with your audience. May be you have quality product what you are selling. It's nice. To upgrading to the next level you can make many things depending on your budget. Find JV partners, make traffic swap, start PPC campaign, monetize article marketing, use social marketing, making sales with forums, use offline ads, so the variations are endless. Oppsss, I nearly forget to mention the fre press release sites Decision is yours. Many successes, Sandor
you guys forgot to mention seo!. that is the number one key!. I paid for ads, I paid for shopping.com and shopzilla but most of my business comes from SE results
Yes Buddy, I forgot to mention SEO, because I'm not perfect. Nevertheless it will be nice to know what kind of business Emily runs, on a what kind of area, a what kind of product she sells, how is her audience, what kind of methods applied till now and what kind of result with. It is possible to give a more accurate answer with this knowledge. What concers to the SEO you pointed out right that it is important and a must. I just like to say that it takes a while until you can see a result from it. There are faster methods to accelerate your business. Have a nice day, Sandor _______________ My intro is visible at the "Did you see this already?" thread.
Try PPC for a fast track learning experience and then optimize some websites for the search engines. Offline marketing may work for your products. I suggest magazine ads, radio and local area marketing.
Make it public so that international member can join it. Promote it using adwords and do some SEO. Pay member to who have recruited member to join your site Do some press release
