Earth4Energy.org --- WTF?

Okay So I searched Earth 4 Energy today and the first result it Earth4Energy.org
It is not Swerds website its just a one page website that has an enter button.
Which goes to his hoplink.

So the point of the topic is does anyone know how this would be possible
becuase I do not know SEO at all and I am trying to learn and I was under the
impression that to rank high you need content. So how is it that a website
with no more than 5 lines of writing is able to rank #1 in google when the
official site is not even on the first page. A hell of a lot of backlinks?

I think the owner of this website is a member at this forum so if you see this
so info would be nice.

www.e4e.com is ranked first, Earth4Energy.org is nowhere to be seen.

 

backlinks, promotion, bookmarking, the name of the product in the url, metas.......

It looks like it is, so it's on the same server and under the same domain; I'm pretty sure Google uses the index page as the main result, unless it's an extremely targeted content match.

That "Enter" page is his index.

And the domains are different .org and .com unless you meant the actual name "Earth 4 Energy"

 

well, honestly I don't know what he's doing, but he's doing it good. But its not backlinks, you can go to backlinkwatch.com and find out he only has 366 backlinks.

now you would normally assume this means those backlinks are really good high pr sites, but their not, it's mostly his sig from these forums. so it probably some blackhat type stuff.

my site earth4energy.co.uk has 6183, some from pr ranked sites, and it's no where to be found if searching for earth4energy.

alot goes into how a site ranks, but the domain name really only applies to yahoo, i dont think google really cares about domain names

but with his site, fewer words might makes google think its more targeted to the term "earth4energy"

i assume as well he is using adwords content network alot to give him temporary backlinks

The search results for Earth4Energy change daily, even hourly.

I don't like that the earth4energy.org website is stating to be the Official Earth for energy Website, which is incorrect, and it has a fake visitor count which says there were QUOTE - "45975366" Visitors that have visited the page.

 

The problem is not earth4energy.org being well SEOed, it's that e4e.com is badly SEOed.

 

E4E.com is irrelevant! Do you mean earth4energy.com?

 

It would be the backlinks.......366 is a decent amount of backlinks for a term that isn't very competitive.

Actually E4E.org is the official site and E4E is some affiliate's site.

All you PPC'ers should switch your campaigns to E4E.org, that's probably why your CB have been in the crapper for a while now
