My email Opt-IN sends the user direct to an affiliate page, then sends them a OPT-IN confirmation. I believe this leads to less subscribers. 1. Do you think users would rather have a thankyou page after they opt-in that tells them to answer their email then click my affiliate link. 2. Also, How can I keep the users from unsubscribing?
VF, I am actually looking at other companies beside aweber, and will probably change to another company in the next couple of days.
Let them know you'll keep sending them good info. I send a weekly newsletter with financial tips and a free ebook each month. I've not had anyone unsub yet... But I'm also not asking them to buy anything.
There's no way to keep subscribers from unsubscribing but you can enhance your chances of keeping them on your list by giving them something of value everytime you send them an email. What I do personally is send my subscribers a free gift or a link to free advertising website...with no strings attached. You can take off the double opt in option on your autoresponder if you want more subscribers...just make sure you save the email just in case they accuse you of spam.
Quality content will be the only way to keep people from unsubscribing. If you give your subscribers something they want they will not have the desire to unsubscribe. Start bombarding them with mail or things they are not interested in and you will see your unsubscribe rate shoot up.
Right! If you want to keep them then you need to shape a good friendly relationship with your audience. You need to understand what rezonates with them, what is their want, what interest they have. To know the aboves you may make short poll or survey, offer some value in exchange to those who answer. This way you'll be informed what do you need to give them to stay. Nevertheless, always there will be peoples who like nothing. It belongs to the business. Who want to go let him/her go. You need to recognize that it is necessary to make the client acquisition continuous and to reward the residual ones.
