I always see people and search engine also dont like .info domain. Comparing others they are too cheap too register too. But what is the reason? One reason i have hear that .info domains are usually poor in contain. But what if a site with .info has rich contain? will search engine still devalued it then?
COM: Short for .commercial .NET: Short for .network, this domain extension was originally designed to be used by technical Web sites. .ORG: Short for .organization. Originally designated for non-profit firms and any other organizations that did not fit under the .com or .net extension .BIZ: is a designated suffix for businesses .INFO generally used for informative purposes!
Actually I believe that .infos are a bit devaluated by search engines compared to other cTLDs. The fact that has been the cheaper generic extension so far has attracted a lot of unexperienced young guys (with all my respect) trying to to make a quick buck and people trying to make all sort of cheap experiments. This has devaluated the .info extension, but I believe that in the long run this cTLD could compete with the current major extensions. There are other cTLDs that I guess never will reach such position and will never be respected as the generic extension they are, as for instance dot biz .
I will not agree that SEs are giving less attention to .info domains because many of my sites (with good contents) with .info extension are doing fine.
