    If you will promote your site in dmoz, yahoo and other how will you get approval quick it may take 2-3 months and more. Then what about competition.

    To get listed in search engines fast i do

    * Web CEO ( Submitting site to search engines )
    * Google Webmaster Tools ( Google sitemap is very essential )
    * Digg and some social bookmarking sites.
    * DMOZ

    and i get listed in 2-3 days

    This is the best way :D
